In the booklet that came with FASA's adventure ships vol #1 the administrator for the Fredonia Aeronotic and Space Administration (I think) is name somting Firefly, which if I remember right is the name of the character played by Grocho Marx in the Marx's brothers movie that take place in the country of Fredonia.
