From following the discussion on feudal technocracy I would have to
favor the idea that the fiefs would be some manner of single entity,
such as one company or one farm. This seems to have more of the flavor
of a feudal society as opposed to fiefs consisting of shares of a
corporation.

From the discussion my understanding is that the vassel receives the
fief in return for service provided to the lord. This agreement is an
oath of fealty and carries obligations which, if not followed,
constitute breaking the oath.

While shares could possibly be provided to the vassel such a fief would
seem to be less likely of producing something that could be used to
'pay' the obligation. A physical fief requires an expert (technocrat)
to operate it while the lord could just simple hold shares and directly
gain whatever benefits they provide.

That the service a vassal gives in return for an industrial holding is
to manage the holding for the liege lord. Since the holding is a
business of some kind the vassal has to be competent to run the
business.

You mean he is a TECHNOCRAT?
