Here's the player's response on the Neifrii Yakida character. I hope to
respond to these after sending out letters to the Leopold and Paul character
players, sometime in the next week or two.

While Neifrii does not have much in the way of possessions and
belongings compared to his half-brothers, he has been able to petition
his father for worthwhile pursuits, such as educational opportunities
or sound investments. His father has been generally amenable in
granting his requests.
His familial derision arises mostly from his oldest half-brother and
his father's wife, not from his father himself.

It is unusual. Since I did not have enough space in the initial
character definition to describe the household arrangement, I will
elaborate here. Aki met Alyce through the Haldyne Corp and became
romantically involved. In the course of this extramarital affair,
Neifrii was conceived. Upon news of this situation, Aki approached his
father, Kansu, for advice. Kansu suggested that Alyce be made a part
of the Yakida household and the child (Neifrii) be raised as a Yakida
child. Of course, Huku, Aki's wife, resented such a decision, but was
not in a position to argue with her powerful father-in-law. It was due
to the influence of Aki's father that the relationship was established.
(Kansu is now deceased. Aki has full authority over the Yakida
household.)
As might be implied, Aki maintains sexual relationships with Huku and
Alyce. Each woman has separate wings on the family estate and, hence,
do not have to have any contact with each other. Although their
relationship was founded on poor footing, the two women have been, at
times, cordial with one another. Both women love and honor Aki and
will abide by his decisions accordingly.
Huku's satisfaction lies in the fact that the children of Alyce have no
share in Aki's estate. She argued successfully for her three children
to be sole heirs of the estate.
Huku's responsibilities lie in household management and financial
affairs. She is responsible for the household portfolios, estate
maintenance, house security, etc. Alyce is responsible for the social
calander and planning of Aki's travel and entertainment. Each woman has
a sense of responsibilty within the household and a household staff and
attendants to assist them.
Aki loves each of his children, regardless of the child's mother. (It
may be likely that Aki has children neither Alyce or Huku are aware
of.) It is Neifrii's perception that he is a second class son and not
a true son, like his half-brothers, hence his desire to prove himself
to his father. Unknown to the rest of the family, Aki has plans to
provide for the needs of all his children, regardless of heritage.

A bright dawn shown through the windows of the Yakida family
estate. Neifrii was alert and had dressed early. Today was the day of
application to the Naval Academy! He had set himself toward this goal
ten years ago since reading and holoviewing the great space battles the
Terran Imperium fought to establish Terra's hold on the Chosen
subsector.
Although he could struggle through the Academy on his meager
savings, he sought his father's full blessing (and financial assistance)
to get him through school. He felt confident that his father would
approve, yet his last request of his father stung in his memory. Perhaps
it was a bit too presumptuous to assume that he could use the summer
house for a weekend. He had no idea how his father learned that he was
planning to take Jennifer Kingsbury with him. It was one of the last
times, thought Neifrii, that I would underestimate the resources and
capabilities of my father.
He quickly checked his appearence before leaving his room and
walked toward his father's wing. Two servants in the hall stopped and
bowed as he curtly walked passed. He had little time for responding to
honorifics this morning.
A shiver of trepidation ran down his back as approached the three
meter ornate double doors that separated his father's residence from
the rest of the house. Two security guards in the brash orange and
yellow of the Yakida family colors stood rigidly at their posts on each
side of the doors.
"Is my father available?" he asks.
"He is available. I will announce your presence," a guard
replied. The guard quietly mutters into an intercom. "You may go in.
Your father is in his library." The guards bow as Neifrii walks past
into the elegance and luxury of Aki Yakida's private residence.

[Needless to say, after a lengthy discussion of purpose of goals, ]
[Aki grants Neifrii the financial resources to take him through the ]
[Terran Naval Academy. ]
