There is currently no facility for creating a random homeworld or letting you define your own homeworld. All homeworlds must be read from the sector data

files. If you want to use your own worlds create a text file with the following

format:

1-14: Name

15-19: HexNbr

20-28: UWP

Save it as f.x. myfile.sec

Then add the following line to the file sector.lst

My own sector myfile

Bugs/NYI:

- There will probably be the odd bug or two in the skill list for the careers. .

- Aslan timekeeping is not yet implemented.

- Solomani Home Guard is NYI

- SolSec double rank/exposure is NYI

- The skill list is not sorted alphabetically.

- Characters sometimes receive cascades as rank/career skills. These appear in the skill list. In most cases you can solve this by removimg them and selecting a skill from the corresponding cascade in the skill tables.

(The exception are level-0 cascades.)

- Vargr character generation still has problems, especially with careers without

ranks and promotion. These will receive to few skills.

- The Aslan word generation procedure produces some words that are invalid according to page 87 of Solomani and Aslan. Ignore those.

- I had a nasty surprise when I tried to run this program under Windows 3.0 It

seems that 3.0 does not like the proportional character set. You can run the program under 3.0, but you will notice(understatement :)) that some text will

disappear.

Planned future additions:

1. Sector/subsector/system generation (Referees Manual)

2. World generation (WBH)

3. Advanced character generation

4. Ship construction

Revision history:

Version 2.00:

Hard Times module added.

The problem with Vargr characters loosing a rank skill when being

promoted two ranks at once has been fixed.

If you happen to have created your own careers or have word generation tables for other

languages than those already added I would very much like to receive them for inclusion in a future version of this program. If you have a good-looking Imperial Sunburst icon I wouldn't mind receiving it to replace my own half-hearted effort (It may look shatterd, but it's no sun :))
